Crossfit Level 1 Trainer (CFL1)
I have been doing Crossfit for several years. I love how it forces you to push yourself physically and mentally to points you never thought you were capable. I am a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer and I plan to obtain more advanced qualifications in the future.
My turning point came after my sixth knee surgery. The doctor told me I was not suppose to do anything active except for maybe walking and a little swimming, not even riding a bike was allowed. I made the decision I was done being "active". Then my wife asked me to come speak to the owner of 1108 and see what he said. Chris and I started speaking and we came up with a training routine to see how my knees could handle the workload. We started out with all body weight exercises for about 3-6 months. Then we started introducing heavier weights. Once I realized through the proper modifications of exercises that I could be successful and be active, I decided to go all in and have not looked back.
Motivation & Passion
I love Crossfit! I love the challenges both physically and mentally. I love coaching people in Crossfit. It is such a rush to see them succeed. When an individual finally performs a good clean, or sets a personal record on squat, that is the reward of a coach. When an individual succeeds and begins to see those results it is such an amazing feeling. Crossfit 1108 is like family. We all encourage each other when we fail and celebrate each others successes. I look forward to being a coach at 1108 for many years to come and I hope to see you there!
